I think it is upside down. Try turning the transducer over and see if it works better.

You may need to lower it also if you want to get depth readings at higher speeds

Way too high. The bottom of the transducer should be at the bottom of the boat

Yeah should be at bottom of the boat. Also make sure you don't have any channels or ridges on the bottom of the boat that are in line with the location of the transducer.

Thank yall! I'm gonna flip it over and lower it and take it out this weekend and see how it does
