Hi TFF,

New to the forum and new to living on Lake Granbury. We've been getting into catfishing over the last couple of months and have been learning a lot. Finally had a couple of really productive days on January 8th and 11th. My two boys and I have all caught our personal best this last week. My oldest deploys to the middleast at the end of the month, so this was a great time together before he's out of country.
Caught on live or cut shad via Rod and Reel. Thought i'd share a couple of photos. Mostly blues with a few channels mixed in. Looking for flatheads. Largest blues were 21# and 18#. over 100#'s of catfish in two trips!

Air temp at 7:45 36 degrees; Water temp was showing about 51 degrees at surface(I think my finder is reading too low); Depth: 38'. Most of the bite was from 9 am til 1:30pm. Was able to locate some 8"-9" shad for cut bait and some larger live ones for live bait on 1-8-20. 1-12-20 pics were on small shad(2"-3") with a few in the 4" range. The 18# blue picked up on the larger 4" shad. We were running multiple small shad on circle hooks for most of the day.

Going out again tomorrow with my dad to try and get him on some fish. Hopefully we can net some bigger shad and have another good day.

Big Mike, thank your son for his service! I'm new to the forum and new to Lake Granbury also, lived here 4 months and loving it. Catchin quite a few eater's off my dock. Largest Blue I have caught so far is 14 lb'er. Hope you are enjoying Granbury as much as I am!

Hi Neighbor. We are loving Granbury and the fishing as well. Which part of Granbury are you on? We're up close to HWY 51 Bridge.

I've caught a few 5 pounders off my dock and about a 13lb carp. Some crappie and a few bass. Had a few lines get broke off at different times when leaving them out over night, which I suspect were either gar or larger fish. I guess I'll never know...

Nice to hear from some fellow Granbury residents. And yes, I'll thank my son for your. We are very proud of him.
