1982 I he came to my MacArthur High School in Irving, Gave a long speech about how to stay away from drugs and alcohol. Later that year he had wreck, rear ended a truck and killed his brother. More than likely he was drunk, but back then they covered stuff like that up.
Never thought the same of him after that.
I’ve come across Drew more than a few times in various North Dallas bars and he’s a player I once played in a charity golf tournament that was sponsored by a well known Addison bar and Drew emceed the post tourney party. With a drink in one hand and a fat cigar in the other, he let the F-bombs fly and more than enjoyed being the center of attention He’s the classic jock living off his past

I believe this is why he is the only player on the all decade team to not be in.

On the other hand... I was elated to see that Cliff Harris made it.

That was at the Star in Frisco. I'm talking about the Ring of Honor at AT&T stadium in Arlington.

Drew is in the Ring Of Honor. But Jimmy is not. Go Figure. You are correct, my bad. I had no idea but of course I've never been to AT&T and the only time they show it during a game it's always Aikman, Smith and Irvin.

In the interview this morning. Drew said "Getting into the Ring of Honor was one of the best days of his Life. And Now he wants to get into the Hall of Fame" He has already been put in the Ring of Honor.

Thanks for pointing that out Sir, I really didn't know that but I should/could have checked before I posted. He certainly deserves to be in the HOF too.

OK to Stats. But my question is? Well how do you get picked to the First team all decade team? Is it because there was no other receivers? When the receivers from the second team is in. I must be missing something. Well it doesn't really ruffle my feathers cause I don't get paid by this decision anyway. LOL

Sixteen of them now have busts in Canton and 10 of them were elected on the first ballot. Pearson has been the lone omission – and he has never even been a finalist for his career to be discussed by the full selection committee.
