Why give boats away when u sell them faster then u make them. Interesting..... Very, very few get a completely free boat. Memo/demo deals. Manufacturer still gets paid. No one but KVD. Rumor has it that BPS/Nitro also does Kevin's laundry and Strike King provides him with a bag lunch. Toyota probably gives him underwear as well. L.O.L.

 Last I checked, they were still close to #1 in boat sales annually. Trust me when I say, there's nothing wrong at Skeeter. If anything I bet they will have to expand at some point. They are selling them quicker than they can make them. The FXR has been a huge hit already as well. Their national package ZX boats are some of the most loaded boats you will find and significantly priced below of similarly rigged comparable boats from other brands. Yes them Japanese knew what they were doing when they bought Skeeter. It would be my last choice in a boat however.

Skeeter's a hunk of [censored] anyway.. Hopefully these guys get picked up by Phoenix LMAO! I'd take a Skeeter over a Phoenix all day, every day. Skeeter is the longest-lived bass boat manufacturer in the country. Airing the same 1-2 hour show 10 times is not needed with DVRs any many/most fans DVR it. Because a show airs 10 times does not equate to 10 times the amount of viewers. Liars figure and figures lie seems to be applicable in this situation.
Skeeter runs a damn good business and their recent sponsorship adjustments make sense and gives a strong indication on what is happening marketing wise in the competitive bass fishing world and social entertainment media agree that airing a show 10 times doesn't equate to ten times the viewers however it might surprise you how many people would watch a fishing show at 2:00 am. or any time slot..... several years ago I had a guy approach me about leasing space in a shopping center I managed...He had sold his bar in Indianapolis and moved to Albany,Ga. and was looking for a place to lease.....during the conversation he mentioned something I had really never thought because I don't live in an area with a lot of 24/7 factories...This guy told me that at his Indianapolis location,he did as much business at 7:00 a.m. as he did at 7:00p.m. and the reason was that many factories had night shifts and guys getting off work early in morning liked to have a beer or two after work just like guys who work in daytime... keep in mind there are 329 million people in the USA so that means there are probably several million guys across this country that may be awake at 2:00 a.m. and watching television.....

I would put my 18yr old Skeeter up against a 1 or 2 yr old Phoenix boat in fit,finish, and overall mechanical condition any time someone would like to see how theirs stacks up! Mine is fished 2-4 days a week and has held up extremely well to hard use. It has scratches, scuffs, dirty, etc. but EVERYTHING works perfectly and the seats and carpet are perfect. Skeeter uses quality carpet, vinyls, and wiring. The aluminum transom is the strongest in the industry for the last 25 years and counting. Mine was ordered with a Yamaha 4s when 4stokes weren’t cool. Motor is flawless as well. These brands guys are touting haven’t even been around as long as my boat. Lol.

Your old skeeter may be ok but the new ones are junk. Yes I own a Phoenix and would be glad to compare but talk to any fiberglass man or mechanic not associated with a dealership guarantee they would pick other brands over skeeter. I know sponsored guys that hate the ride of their skeeters but they get a deal so of course they run them. All boats have issues and motors but skeeters currently are not top quality wether you like to hear it or not.

I have not experienced any issues. Guess I've just been lucky all those times. I bet no one is complaining about the ride of the FXR.

I know texas is skeeter country and have no reason to change anyones mind but yes I know someone right now running a fxr that doesn’t care for the ride. And if I had a deal to run skeeter I'm sure I would be just as happy as I am in my Phoenix but since I’m paying with my money Im going Phoenix. But this is off topic so I guess we can all just be happy with what we have and get back to b!tching about mlf and bass lol

Brand vs brand debates are comical. I think anyone that is honest will admit that all the more popular independent brands Skeeter, Phoenix, Charger, Bass Cat, etc all make a great boat. It all comes down to what you put as a priority when buying one. I bet most of the folks above making generalized negative comments about various brands have never actually driven one.

what would be your first choice a NITRO I am guessing. Just bought a Triton. I used to get asked about who did my Spiderman paint job on my Skeeter, it and the trailer were a piece of junk, before this Triton I had four Stratos boats that were ten times better then the Skeeter,

How many guys on mlf are collecting social security benefits? this tv show is going to be cancelled What are some of you so angry about? It's surely spilling over into your personal lives. Another deep breath...... Johnny owns too many brands for Skeeter to hang around hoping to get airtime on his shows. They are smart folks and they can figure a better venue to sink more revenue into like Basschamps. MLF is getting far more air time than any fishing show ever has so I'm not sure the social security comment is relevant. But nevertheless..... Keep on bashing them and we will see what happens. my 2009 skeeter iclass doesn't have any spiderman paint on it, yet anyway lol. I have been in a few 201 stratos boats & liked them to.
