I have a 2000 Chevy 2500 truck that the top dash board is just crumbling. All the GM websites say the replacement part is discontinued. I guess 20 years is just to long. I have found several dash board covers that go over the existing dashboard, but i cant find any aftermarket replacements. Do y'all know of somewhere to look or any suggestions?

I too am interested in any suggestions for replacement.

I have watched some you tube videos and it looks pretty easy to replace, i just cant find the replacement part.

Google 2000 Chevy 2500 dash replacement part. Don't know what model you have but what I saw was about $150. See if that's what you need.

I think getting one from a junk yard would not be in much better condition than the one i have, especially since they may have been out in the sun and weather.

LMC Truck. They have a very extensive inventory of parts for older trucks. But I did do a quick search and only found the covers not a full dash.But again I just did a quick search. I don't think I even put in all the details of your vehicle. So it's worth a look.

Does the 2500 share a common dash with the 1500?

I've had several of those pickups around that year, I have an 01 right now that has over 500,000 miles on it, and none of the dashes came apart. I'm betting you can go to about any salvage and find a pretty good one. 1/2 ton, 3/4, and one ton should all be identical.
