If anyone actually thinks Skeeter is going down the tubes because they made a few changes in pro staff, that's just goofy. The only way Skeeter would disappear any time soon would be if they sold to a big company who decided retiring the brand would somehow help their own bass boat lines.

How many guys on mlf are collecting social security benefits? this tv show is going to be cancelled What are some of you so angry about? It's surely spilling over into your personal lives. BPT will be down to 1/3 of the field in a couple of years? Really? Because two guys left? Take some deep breaths..... push away from the computer. Boyd Duckett isn't going to take your lunch money. It's okay that you disagree on some stuff. He voted for Trump.... It's still going to be okay. It's just fishing..... more deep breaths. You've got this. Skeeter will be okay too. Another deep breath...... Johnny owns too many brands for Skeeter to hang around hoping to get airtime on his shows. They are smart folks and they can figure a better venue to sink more revenue into like Basschamps. MLF is getting far more air time than any fishing show ever has so I'm not sure the social security comment is relevant. But nevertheless..... Keep on bashing them and we will see what happens. Oh ya..... breathe. Housewives UNITE! J

All the air time in the world don't mean anything if people are not watching it. Also, the few episodes I watched, you only get air time if you are in the top 2 or 3. I watched 4 episodes and I didn't see alot of the guy we used to see at BASS. They may have been at the bottom of the pack, but they were getting a chance to walk across the stage in front of thousands of people and talk about their day and plug their sponsors. That is more exposure than 90% of them are getting in the BPT. Im pretty sure that had a lot to do with Skeeters decision. BPT seems to promotes "their" sponsors in the lime light. Where a lot of times in BASS the guys could somewhat push their personal sponsors.

What business in the world doesnt do that. I'll be the first to say I cant stand MLF but you can not deny B.D. and Jim Wilburn and the group are smart as all get out business men. They know how to make a dollar.

Airing the same 1-2 hour show 10 times is not needed with DVRs any many/most fans DVR it. Because a show airs 10 times does not equate to 10 times the amount of viewers. Liars figure and figures lie seems to be applicable in this situation.
Skeeter runs a damn good business and their recent sponsorship adjustments make sense and gives a strong indication on what is happening marketing wise in the competitive bass fishing world and social entertainment media

On a side note, I noticed Todd Castledine has joined the Scott Martin crew on the BassMaster Opens this year, there is some more change to think about.

I"ll prolly watch some of these episodes now. I never watched Scott much cause he was always doing videos with the Googan kids.

Skeeter is the longest-lived bass boat manufacturer in the country. They haven't earned that distinction by building hunks of junk. https://www.skeeterboats.com/About-Skeeter.php?content=about_usHere's a little history for you.

Skeeters are built 10x better than the Phoenix. Ive run both. I did like Phoenix's cockpit layout, but the boat itself is piece of [censored]! It spent more hours in the shop than it did on the water!
