Catching sandbass and hybrid striper in January is a Blast!
The fish aren't everywhere but you are likely to find them off the deep humps and points water depths from 20ft in some cases but most likely as deep as 40ft and rare occasions 50ft.

For the most part they are running good size.

Most likely the fish in the 20 to 37 and 40ft depths the fish are flat on the bottom or just inches above the bottom.

I'm using the slab and just working it off the bottom feeling for a very light bite.

Catfish is going good ,  I'm catching some big ones and some eaters all on cut bait or shad.
