Hilarious.

I used to fish tournaments in which we took our fish to the scales, but now I just shock them to the surface and then blast their stunned bodies with a 12 gauge instead.

banana roflmao roflmao That is hilarious.

There is nothing wrong with a 18ft boat. I have a Nitro Z18. I just thought that most of the Pros used bigger boats with all the goodies on them.

Okay, I see.....I have Skeeter ZX190 that's 18.5ft and I love it....I was reluctant at first to buy it, but seeing those MLF guys fishing out of 18fters kind of encouraged me to buy a 18ft boat.

I agree. Most things periodically go through big shake-ups but eventually level out when everyone gets used to the "new normal," whatever that is.

there is a huge demand for outdoor sports programs....both the outdoor channel and sportsman channel run 24/7 and it is common for them to air the same program several times each week and several months later re-air the same program multiple times in a week...
major league fishing has already been rated as #1 outdoor program so where is your justification for saying the show will be cancelled....
apparently the top 80 bass pros like sharing the television income and believe 850 hours of television exposure each year is better for them and their sponsors than the 35 or 40 hours that B.A.S.S. was able to provide

He sure likes to throw those TV hours out all the time, truth is, their free entry’s come from all those proceeds and those anglers aren’t making millions like he thinks. Tharp wouldn’t have made a comment about the off season income being so tough, if these TV hours were making them so much $$$.

But those free entry fees were great for a few of the anglers.

Who gives a rat's tail how many tv hours there are. The pros are losing sponsors which means they are losing money. That obviously means they aren't getting air time. So much for 850 hrs of air time. Facts dont lie.

check out the TV schedule on Major league fishing webside….it's already showing 7 hours per week this month on outdoor channel and CBS...

That's not saying much. There's a bunch of repeats and besides, almost anyone can get a show on Outdoor Network. That's a fact.

Funny how this has gone full circle over the last decade. We all used to complain about having to record the one hour Bassmaster show on Saturday morning. One hour that summed up 100+ guys fishing for 2-4 days.

Now....apparently almost anyone can get a fishing show on air, reruns are pointless, and less hours is somehow better? Lol. With these standards, nobody can succeed!

Worth noting that BPT lost two anglers and picked up one of the absolute best anglers over the last decade, Bryan Thrift.

Personally, I am looking forward to watching BPT and BASS this year. I like a lot of anglers on both trails and I like both formats.

Yes it has. But my comment is on how people are acting like BPT is the best thing since sliced bread. Just like the idiots saying Skeeter let go 3 or 4 anglers, now they are going down the tubes. Its stupid. They made a business decision. Just like most companies do. But to brag cause a show has air time, which cost them, is also stupid. If you look at a lot of show on Outdoor, FTN. Some are good, and some are "how is this person even on TV." If you have money, you can make anything happen. But sometimes money, and popularity don't go together.

All the air time in the world don't mean anything if people are not watching it. Also, the few episodes I watched, you only get air time if you are in the top 2 or 3. I watched 4 episodes and I didn't see alot of the guy we used to see at BASS. They may have been at the bottom of the pack, but they were getting a chance to walk across the stage in front of thousands of people and talk about their day and plug their sponsors. That is more exposure than 90% of them are getting in the BPT.
