I am using Danny Kings, Got 4 cans for $1 each , Walmart clearance, so I have a lot to use up. The few times I have used it, fished on the bottom with no results. I am usually using liver most of the time.

I fish Stubby's about a quarter turn off the bottom. Just enough to keep from snagging downed timber in Fork. That's where the chum is, why not fish there?

Can you fish punch bait on the bottom, or is it best under a bobber? Mark If no has said it yet Welcome to TFF. Its a great place to ask questions. But be careful you might not always like the answer.

Welcome Mark! Yes you can fish it on bottom. I would suggest using as lite of a lead as possible to get to bottom and stay there.

it depends how deep the water is. I mostly us a local made cheese bait and fish it under a slip cork up to 15ft of water, any deeper I just fish it straight down just off the bottom. One thing I always chum.
