I find beating the bank in 2 feet of water boring. Not to mention all the other anglers around you in the same areas.

Heck yes, hand to hand combat, love fishing shallow when the big girls are up there, not a big sight fisherman.

I fish when I can. If the conditions are right and the spawn is on then great. I do not plan my calendar around the spawn for purposes for sight fishing however. When I was younger some of the most fun I had was sight fishing in the very back of a creek on Fork toying with a big sow bouncing a Gitzit on her bed.

What’s your favorite go to baits in the spawn? Surprisingly I did good this last spawn with just a fluke.

Spawn is my favorite time of the year. It’s like hunting and playing chest at the same time.

I don't sight fish, but enjoy fishing flats with sparse grass that are near creeks or deeper water. Throw a c-rigged lizard and slowly drag it through the grass and hang on. My go to lizard is a Zoom Green Pepper / Chartreuse.

This is something that I want to get better at committing to and then sticking with it.....not always easy to do when you know there are many that you can see plain as day...
