Both suffered a loss this morning.... Crews were out working a minor wreck when another vehicle left the roadway, struck two fire fighters and one cop. Killed one fire fighter and the cop.... other fire fighter suffered some injuries... icy roads in Lubbock... Officer Nicholas Reyna - 1 year of service Lieutenant not named yet of the FD.... RIP GUYS.... .gif "angel")

Oh no... :-( RIP so sad and avoidable. Driving too fast for conditions I sure hope that other driver ROTS IN JAIL FOREVER!!

People actually complain when we use the fire apparatus to block a scene while we are working.

I believe it MP. had a bad work accident last year(head injuries) and a lady threw a fit walking along side the stretcher because a fire truck and ambulance had her car blocked in. crazy dangerous job. mark, you and mike stay safe.

People actually complain when we use the fire apparatus to block a scene while we are working. I remember equipment blocking I-35 one day, a person whom had been in traffic walked up to my dear sergeant and interrupts him. My sergeant asks this motorist would you like to come view the mangled body and make notifications for us, we can clear the highway as soon as you do that for us. This was back in the days you could do that mind you... I prefer the road blocked by apparatus, if it hits that, we are still safe. Insurance fixes it and we all go home...
