My partner and I have agreed to fish the fishers of men trail due to their choice of lakes and the way the schedule lines up with mine...

Just curious if anyone else have fished this trail before?? Are they ran smoothly?

They appear to have a well put together website explaining details very precise and seem to have everything together.

Thanks!

I have been fishing the Texas East division for 2 years. My partner and I enjoy it. The East division is ran pretty well. We fished the regional tournament the last 2 years as well and those were both run very well (we actually won the one this past October. I also fished the National Championship last year on Hartwell, and am fishing the one this March in Florida!

Like all trails the tournament director has a big say in how a trails does. I have not had any experience with the Texas NE director. I have been fishing the North Central division since 2002 and I really enjoy fishing them. I have not had any issues at all with how the tournaments are run. I like the fact you can qualify for National tournaments all over the South East US. (Texas to Alabama to Florida). The biggest negative i hear about FOM from other people is the mandatory Friday night meeting, but you have to realize that is what FOM is about.

I think you will be very happy with Fisher's of Men.

Thank you for your feedback! The Friday night mandatory is going to be my issue because I keep my son on Friday nights because my wife is a coach...

Only 1 partner has to attend the Friday night meeting for you to get you points. SO as long as your partner can go, then you will not miss out on any points for the standings.

I fish the NE Texas division and it is great. Jeff runs a great trail. As far as the meetings on Friday. I have brought my whole family to the meetings, so that should not be an issue. In fact I also fish with my 11 year old daughter, so the trail is real family oriented. Feel free to message me any questions.

I'll message you next week before the meeting and give you my name! Introduce myself! Looking forward to meeting everyone next week!
