Party Cove gets crowded on nice summer weekends, as does the whole lake. I usually avoid that lake on weekends but if you go early you can fish and get off the lake before the crowd shows up. The rocks on the old dam and the 2 cuts are usually good areas.

Party Cove has been dead for some time, I've never seen it have more than 20 boats. I think back in the day it would get crazy, but in the last two years I haven't seen it.

Have a guide take you out. I just used Phil's Guide Service and we caught ~25 fish yesterday evening. We had a blast and learned a lot about what we were doing wrong.

Hire a guide and pick his brain as you run lake, money well spent to speed up learning curve
