Today started out warm for this time of the year in the upper 50's, but it was already when blowing out of the south. Today most of the winners reported using baby brush hogs and drop shot finesse worms to catch their fish.

Hard Core is what we call this tournament, but it follows the Major League Fishing format where every fish you catch over 10" counts. With Lake Fork partitioned into three sections and the section rotates each week throughout the year.Today section 3 was scheduled. LFA Members will qualify for the semi-final in November by catching 6 lb. and attending at least 6 tournaments. Or fish 80% of the tournaments.

Boaters Results

1st place went to Tom Charlebois of Winonia with 2 bass for 8.09 LB with the boater lunker of 7.02 LB lunker caught on a C-rig baby brush hog.
2nd place went to Tim Gold of Mineola with 2 bass for 7.08 LB with a 3.62 LB lunker caught on a drop shot.
3rd place went to Dennis Bubinas of Lake Fork with 2 bass for 6.50 LB with a 3.62. LB lunker .
4th place went to Bob Roberts of Longview with 2 bass for 5.33 LB with a 3.31 LB lunker.
5th place went to Mark Talley of Yantis with 3 bass for 4.79 LB with a 2.36 LB lunker.


Co-Angler Results

1st place went to Tom Whitrock of Lake Fork with 5 bass for 12.20 LB with lunker of 3.16 LB caught on a baby brush hog.
2nd place went to Don Cox of Garland with 4 bass for 8.62 LB with a 3.39 LB lunker caught on a baby brush hog.
3rd place went to Ken Kielbas of Arlington with 5 bass for 7.53 LB with a 2.13 LB lunker.
4th place went to Bob Lambert of Lake Fork with 2 bass for 5.58 LB with the co-angler 3.95 LB lunker.
5th place went to John Berech of Garland with 4 bass for 5.20 with a lunker of 1.92 LB on a T-rig.


Interesting that the co-anglers out fished their boaters in terms of numbers. 38 fish caught today with 6 angler skunks.

The Lake Fork Anglers fish every Thursday throughout the year except Thanksgiving and Christmas on 2 different formats. Members are required to fish at least 4 of the Hard Core or 4
