My winter fishing has evolved and not necessarily have I got any better . That’s hard to admit but it is what it is .
Jigs , crankbaits and spinner baits make up the most of what I throw. What else works this time of year on cold water lakes .

Huddlestons to the Ned rig, and damiki rig. Go really big or go really small.

under 55 degrees I fish either extremely fast trying for a reaction bite or I go big and slow due to their slower metabolism. I utilize jigs, flat sided cb's, jerkbaits and traps.

Crank baits, jigs, creature baits, Carolina rigs, Texas rigged creature baits, Spinner baits, and chatter baits. Sometimes I will throw an A-rig too. been doing real good on Lewisville on rocky points and rocky banks with a depth change close to it. good luck

I think the cold water plays tricks on fisherman’s brains...don’t let those fish fool you. I’ve caught all of my DD’s in the dead of winter...less than 50 degree water...24.5” x 22” was the biggest...

Hard to beat a rattle trap this time of year can throw it anywhere rocks, grass, sand banks, and really nothing around still catches fish lol
