I remember the news showing the inspector looking in and discussing an empty 18 wheeler. I'm sure it was just propaganda. ^^^

Not the WMDs you were looking for.

"The first was munitions that had been sealed in bunkers at Iraq’s Al Muthanna weapons complex by U.N. inspectors during the 1990s...The U.N. and U.S. knew these chemical weapons were there, Saddam Hussein knew they knew, and there was no way for the Iraqi military to access them without the world immediately finding out."

"The complicated truth, then, is that part of the U.S. case for war was that the Iraqi government was hiding old, pre-1991 chemical weapons; such old chemical weapons were found in Iraq; but the U.S. case for war was still totally false because Saddam’s regime was not hiding those weapons."

And this has what to do with a Ukrainian Airliner crashing near Tehran?

Don't need to. I don't think anyone denies the fact that we found no massive stockpiles of WMD's in Iraq. How is that pertinent to the discussion of an airline crashing? Even if it was downed by the IRG (which appears likely), SAMs are not weapons of mass destruction. They are conventional weapons.

Saddam gave the chemical warheads to Syria for safe-keeping. Once Saddam met his doom, Assad decided they may as well use the gas on their own people - no sense letting it go to waste. I hope Iran or their proxies do something really stupid, so we can reduce their oil business to ruins. Then, just leave the entire region and let the idiots kill themselves to their hearts' content.

What?

No. He did not have anything. He only fronted like he might because he wanted Iran to think he might because he was scared of them.

He was also scared of Al Qaeda. He wanted nothing to do with them.

Bin Laden thought Abu Al-Zarqawi was a bit of a little punk and to shut him up set him up in a base in very remote Iraq. When Saddams people got wind of this they sent Iraqi Special Forces out to this spot to investigate and attack this base. Just so happened about that same time American Special Forces were doing the same thing at the same base and came across the Iraqi forces.

Calmer heads in the intelligence community assumed correctly that there was not a connection with the Al- Qaeda forces and the Iraqis, and that more than likely the Iraqis were also there just doing surveillance...but the hawks spun it that the Iraqis were there working WITH the Al-Qaeda folks.

It was all a sham. There was never any WMD, Sadam was not in on the 9/11 attacks, it was all "fake news".

Be very careful, as they are doing it to us again, more BS fake stories that will get more Americans killed...for really no reason.

Hopefully calmer heads will set the stage for post-terrorist Iran negotiations.

Soleimani was a bad guy and had control of the Iranian policies of actively fighting of the Western powers through proxies.

Removing him from the diplomacy table is a good thing. Hopefully the world can move forward with a less aggressive Iran.

Pompeo and Pence already tried to link Iran to the 9-11 attacks, both of them are blatant liars. Bush wasn't very smart but even he knew killing Soleimani would be a mistake. Trump is touting a new agreement with Iran, but there was a perfectly functional one in place that the Stable Genius withdrew from.

I didn't mention anything about the narrative you just spouted. Move-on from your Huffington Post ideology.

Geez.
