I was wondering if there is a good amount of Crappie in this Lake. I have been there several times and never caught a crappie. But yet people say that they are there. Are they nice sized?

I used to go camping there in the Mid to late 90's. It still had grass and the fishing was awesome. This sucks.

Yes there are some nice crappie in Purtis. Fish the deeper trees.

Lots of big crappie and limits. Took me many years to figure them out but they are there and in big numbers

Ron-Ron and Marktx. When was the last time y'all fished there?
I want to go try but it is super hard for me to drive past Cedar Creek to get there.

Might have to take my Kayak out with 2 bass rods and a couple of crappie sticks. And see what might happen.
