Guys I have to ask. What is up with the guys in the bass rigs (nothing against bassers, that is what I fish for the most too) running super close to me when I am fishing in a wide open area? There is no marked boat run, I am not sitting in the center of the river channel, I am not sitting in the middle between known underwater trees, I am literally sitting in the wide open area with acres of room around me. I just don't get it. I had at least 4 boats come within 5 boat lengths of me at 40 mph+ on Saturday in two different locations. I am about the most accommodating live and let live sort of guy you will ever meet but...dang. Is this happening to ya'll there?

i love my lake because it isn't crowded (even on the weekends). i don't think that is specific to your lake though.

LMB are super fast and they need to get to their spots quickly before the bass outrun them! I haven’t had that experience but have had multiple trollers troll right past me waving at me 🤦🏻‍♂️

Once a guy figures out where he’s heading, he’s going to make as best straight line as he can to get there. If you are near that line you are pretty screwed.

my favorite is when "striper joe" and his boat full of tardos troll around me and stay in the way, while spooking the fish.

Had a guy on Benbrook a few years ago do this exact thing. He slowly drifted up to us, I could literally get in his boat. I said hi, but he never acknowledged or said anything, nobody on the boat said anything. He slowly drifted away and the next weekend he was sitting on that exact spot roflmao

We Crappie fish all the time on Fork...I get a lot of fishermen in big bass boats pinging us. It's kinda funny they act like theyre just passing by, and you can hear them marking their fish finders,..no big deal. Most are very kind. fish

You should have waved them over and ask "why do you guys have to run 5 boat lengths from me when you have the entire lake"?

At least those guys are not pot licking you, and they usually have a little eye candy on board.

I don't get it either. The eye candy is nice, but the Wake Board wave coming over the bow is dangerous.
I call Grapevine "Combat Fishing" from May till Sept. it is crazy. With little to no regard of the law. Not that I have seen any law there in 3 years.

I am one of those and I avoid fisherman like the plague out of respect because I know how not-fun it is to navigate wakeboat rollers in my 16' stick steer.

On the lake. Across from White Bluff and also just north of Katy Bridge.
