You would be crazy to drive back into the hills and hollows in rural Kentucky.
If you’re lucky you might roll up on a still.....those folks have a sense of humor.
If, otoh, you roll up on meth cookers...no sense of humor. Dangerous.

Just tell them your there from the government to take human inventory. They’ll understand.

The website is having problems, it stalls after page 3 when I click "NEXT". Thankfully it saved the first three pages. Will try again tomorrow.

Was able to complete the application process this morning - I'm in ! ! !

It appears to include hazardous duty pay, it varies from place to place.

HECK NO .....
This job means going door to door to verify residence.
Some of those places, I will NEVER go !!!
I'm glad there are wine drinkers in this world ..... it saves more beer for the rest of us. Hopper

They are trying to hire 200,000 people and not all will be door to door. 2 friends of mine have been hired. 1 doing clerical and the other as a manager. Pay runs 18.00 to 24.00 depending on where you're working and job title. They also pay $.58 for mileage if you have to do any travel

the mileage would kill me out here, nearest neighbor is half a mile, next ones are about 2.5 and then it really stretches out.
that and I don't ever want to work for the govt. again. nope, no way.

I applied for census job months ago. They just emailed me to say they’re beginning the hiring process. I’ll take a manager or supervisor position only. They know I have a Superduty and a Gator so they’ll probably want me out there among the dueling banjos.
