Made it out to the spot with just me and my youngest daughter. She caught one fish, threw him back, and retired to relaxing in the boat seat. I started making jigs and had one tied on. Texas toast with orange powder coated head (learned on youtube) and orange feathers (learned watching SK's videos). Only fish I kept were over 12 and these guys hammered it. SO gratifying and fun. Wish I could have went out today but the wife is having surgery Wed and we had a lot to do to be ready.

Fun part is I still have a LOT of brush piles I've found, rocks, and places I haven't even stopped to fish yet.

Ain't that the truth! Many times I would be up at 2:00 am tying jigs before getting ready to go to work.

I bet I have close to a thousand jigs that are in my boat that I have tied myself.

Nice haul. That has to be a great feeling catching a bunch of fish on baits that you have made. Congratulations and nicely done. thumb

There's something special about catchn on a jig you personally tied that's very satisfying......

Jigging; it's faster than chasing a minner in a bucket!

REGARDLESS OF HOW MANLY YOU THINK YOU ARE WEARING A PFD CAN SAVE YOUR LIFE.....

How about a picture of the jig? Texas Toast is one of my favorite colors!
Congrats!
