Just like in baseball, the off season has people wheeling and dealing, changing sponsors and such. I don't know whether it's just coincidence, a sign of the times, or just is what it is but several pro's have changed from a company they've been with for a decade(s). Either way, I enjoy the fishing and business side of the sport. The 2020 season will kick off soon and we'll have a lot to watch and talk about.

KVD joins Lew's, previously with Quantum.
Aaron Martens joins G. Loomis, previously with Enigma Rods. Still using Shimano reels
Gerald Swindle leaves Triton and joins Phoenix. He's also using Lew's reels. I'm assuming he'll still be using his signature series rods from Quantum.
Brandon Card is the first tour level pro to run a Vexus. Mike Huff of the Elite series will also be running one.
Brandon Palaniuk joins X Zone Lures. I believe he was previously with Zoom.
Shaw Grigsby joins Lew's for rods & reels.Previously with Wright & McGill
Brian Latimer repping Lew's reels (Favorite rods) as well as Strike King tungsten & fishing line.
Jason Lambert running Blazer boat, previously in a Triton
Brent Ehrler running Power Poles & Garmin electronics. Previously Minn Kota/Hummingbird guy
Kelly Jordan running a Mercury. One can only assume that means he'll be in something other than a Skeeter.

Wasn’t Brandon Palaniuk with Berkley? If so that is a big change.

Originally, yes. I think he was with Zoom for a few years. It looks like he is no longer on the Toyota fishing team either. He doesn't have their logo on his website.

He was on the Pure Fishing team (Abu, Berkley) but they made budget cuts 3-4 years ago. That's when he joined up with Jake Boomer and Alpha Angler rods were born. That's also about the same time he teamed up with Zoom plastics.

No, but some good products have been designed by pros because they moved to a new company.

I'd buy anything Orlando Wilson would recommend, but that's just me. I can still hear his theme in my head,
"Fishin' with Orlando WIlson". rock

Biden famously said in the New York Observer, “I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that’s a storybook, man.”

Brandon was actually on his own dime with Toyota.

Great list, I was mentioning this to a friend today that is a host on a pod cast.
I had not herd about Brent, but the others I had.
Cliff Crochet can go on your list, he left after I believe two seasons DUCE rods which he had a signature line with and went to KastKing for both rods and reels. He also left Santone Lures for Crusher lures, for his wire baits and jigs.
I believe Mark Davis will be making an announcement soon about possibly a boat deal is my best guess.
Chris Groh to Humminbird from Lowrance.
Luke Clausen left Yo-Zuri after a season or two to go to Jackall

You are always going to have some movement, last year you had a lot because of the new tour and sponsors wanting to jump on, but this year seems kind of strange that you have the amount you do with name brand pro's. I know Quantum is rapidly getting to the point that they will have minimal left for known guys that you might consider first tier or high second tier.

So the enigma rods deal is dead I take it. Wondered how a guy could go from the highest quality gear to something super budget. He'll probably have all conquest or nrx combos now. My biggest problem with pro's changing companies is the signature series stuff. For example I don't think Kistler makes the MAD rod anymore (I've seen it in the klx but not the helium like it was). It was on my list. I can see Jordon going ranger with their strong presence around Fork.

You can still buy them. They're going more "direct to consumer" from what I heard on a podcast. Jesse, the owner, is still fishing the Elites and I believe they also have John Murray (BPT) and Tim Fredricks (FLW) on their staff.
