Billy & Kay Dyson was one of the most formidable teams ever to wet a line at Lake Fork. I used to kid Billy about how I helped pay for their lake house on Penson Point from all the money he & Kay took from me while fishing team events on Fork. I cannot remember an event I fished where they did not place in the money, many times taking First Place. They were gracious winners, always willing to help out fellow anglers. They were gracious losers, which rarely occurred, they would be the first to congratulate the winning team. They were both Class Acts. Billy was taken way too soon by cancer. I see his name on here every day still listed as a Moderator. I have to believe he is looking down on us all sometimes laughing and sometimes shaking his head saying WTH was that guy thinking. I got permission to share this from Randy Maxwell. I hope he will come onto this thread and share some details of the day they made this video. I cannot watch it without shedding a tear. I thought it fitting to post this video as a New Year starts. Hopefully it will remind us just how precious & short our time on this earth truly is. Rest in Peace my Bass Fishing Brother. I will see you soon.

One of the finest gentlemen that I will ever know....he took me in as a complete stranger and made me feel like a life-long friend. I'll never forget that guy and sure miss him. RIP, bro.

Billy was a source of information and total optimism for me when I was sick, even though he was dealing with the same issues himself. No one was happier when I was declared in remission than him. I tried to be the same type of influence for him as the disease beat on him and he was always sure he would win. He was a Champion for me for Fish For A Cure from the beginning and I thank him for that. He was taken far too soon but is healthy and happy now. May he rest in peace

I didn’t really know Billy, but was fortunate enough to meet him once. We met at BassPro in GVine when he bought a battery from me. We stood in the Whataburger parking lot and talked for a bit. Nice guy. RIP Billy.
LET’S GO BRANDON!!!

He's probably teaching the angels how to drop shot....or what a Jika rig is.....he was always so kind.....sad day indeed when he finished his fight.
