These are on a TMC heavy wire 1X short scud hook in #8. As the original Rio Getter is tied on a B10s I figured these would be alright since there is added shank and hook length to a B10s. I think these would approximate the original in about a #10 or a larger #12. Did a few colors and intend to do more. II figure an all white would be might be good with a little flash to it. I like a little bling for Rio flies hence why most of these have a ice dub body.

Those look great. They are one of my favorite patterns for creeks and small rivers. I usually tie them in size 12 (B10S) but recently tied some in size 8 to try out this spring

I have to order in some more hooks and will probably try the #14 B10S. I also need to do some more Lunch Moneys so some #2 and number #4 hooks will also have to get ordered. I have some other flies tied up but need to get some more molded eyes. this thread is just reminding me of the supplies I need to get..

Can't wait to try the purple ones this spring; Texas fish are such suckers for purple.

You’re not kidding about fish loving purple flies. A purple soft tackle is one of my most effective flies on the Paulxy.
