Just start past the island by the ramp, fish the shoreline up to the railroad bridge with a buzz bait. Spend some time around the wall halfway up that shoreline. Obvious, but hit the bridges and you will get some bites too. Not much deep cover worth wasting time on, just slow beating banks right now.

It's getting pretty bad. I hit a stump yesterday running the cut to the hot side, I was lined up bridge to bridge.

Weather is postponing the trip. Maybe tomorrow.

Went today. Idles around the dam for a bit. Seen quite a few boats running on pad hugging the East bank. So I did the same all the way to where you cut across to get to the hot water discharge. Then West Bank all the way back to the discharge. May have been beginners luck but never touched a stump.
Pleased with the fishing. Handful of small ones and one 5 pounder. All in about 3 hours of actual fishing.

Red circle is launch, blue circle is hot water discharge. It’s probably 1.5-2 miles at least. No short cuts. It will take quite a while to idle all the way there.
I would say more like 7-8 miles from the ramp to the discharge.
