I have never fished Lake Conroe but want to try to help my dad and brother figure out how to catch some catfish at Lake Conroe. They both live in the area. I found some points and humps near timber and deeper water on my Navionics map mid lake up one of the west arms that I want to try. I assume minnows/cut shad/punch bait work over baited holes? Any help would be appreciated.

i used to go to conroe a long time ago with my dad. We would always tie up under the 1097 bridge and drop straight down and catch eaters. Nothing big, but a steady bite and plenty keepers.
