Been a bit busy as of late so I decided not to fish very far and landed just two target fish, but they were bigguns! Might have to make these exploratory excursions more often  ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/lcZpEnj.jpg) First Carp out of here, off to a fantastic start! This guy was pretty skinny but still tipped the scales at 17lbs even. Filled out he'd easily go 20+! ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/SRDVBy9.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/FTVJDuL.jpg) Hooked into this chunk and thought she was a turtle! Just a few beeps on the rod and a quick, firm hookset and she was on. Literally no fight to her, the water was cold and she was sluggish so she just came straight in. But what a fish she was! 23lbs of solid muscle, 30in long and 24.6in girth. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/RmTE46m.jpg) Just look at those shoulders! Decided to name this thick girl Lizzo.  Can't wait to catch her again after feeding her up a bit more!
