I am struggling with pairing my Talon units purchased in 2015 with the new foot pedal. Any help is appreciated.

If you bought the new bluetooth foot switch, it will not work with the older Talons. You will have to find a foot switch that does not use bluetooth.
The part # you need is 1810256
