Aint happening yet. I put thr tube on the lake today. I wasn't expecting to tear the sunfish up but I wanted to see if any crappie had moved into the shallows. Hit several of my crappie haunts but didn't find any love at any of them. I wasn't too surprised since I have never caught one before Feb.

So I thought what the heck and hit some sunfish spots. I actually got a few redbreasts about 6 inches long but they were few and far between. What did surprise me was the number of bass I took. I brought 5 to the tube with 4 of them about 2 lbs and one between 3 and 4 lbs. I stuck one fish that felt a lot bigger but he tossed the hook after one head shake. Never saw the fish but it felt solid. I missed 3 or 4 strikes as well. I am not a serious bass fisherman so if I can catch 5 when I am not even looking for them I can't imagine how well someone that knows what they are doing would do. All fish were taken on Bobby Garland baby shad in bluegrass and were released to fight another day.

I apologize for not having pics. It wasnt until after I got the first fish that I found I left my l phone in the vehicle. I also found I need a new pair of waders. I was pretty damp when I got out of the tube.

Cheers Y'all and Merry Christmas from East TX.

Nice post Flags. I know the feeling very well about the "One Head Shake"! Seems that the bass that are five plus pounds know that dance very well! bannana2

Nice post. This time of year I guess finding any species of fish is a good thing. Good job finding the bass!
