Was able to head out to Lewisville with Wes (Bendarod Guide Service) this week to try out one of my thumpers for sandbass deadsticking. The conditions were perfect, slight wind, overcast and hungry fish. We were able to use the thumper to build a school quickly and essentially keep a school of fish up to 25' deep under the boat. They were finicky at first but ultimately turned on, and when they did, we caught a bunch. We would have had double limits if we kept them all. Wes taugh me a bunch about deadsticking and shares some pointers on the video as well. We tried some of Lane's thump bosses hoping for a hybrid but we only ended up with magnum sandbass and two unders.

Good constant action. Water color looked great. Nothing like a little rain to drop the BP and entice the bite .

Great video. Did you make your own thumper?

I make and sell thumpers, just don’t advertise on here much. My base model is $225 and I offer a remote for $25 and a 12v plug for $10.

That would make excellent stocking stuffers. They work, hands free thumping is the only way to fish, and for just a few hundred dollars. Why the h * l l not ??
