We thought what should we do?who’s going to help get it certified today? how could we make this happen?so after a quick pic we decided to just let it go but check out this beast.7’ medium rod 14# mono. The picture really doesn’t do it justice because I had to just lay it on his lap but scooping it up and trying to pick it up somewhere between 40 and 60 pounds maybe even more it was so heavy crazy looking

It made one big giant drag run and then after about five minutes of walking around the boat and it’s heavy slow pull I was like OK this is not a striper

Wow, what a fish. I hooked an 18 lb one two years ago, they pull hard and have great stamina.

I bet that was fun anyway no matter what it is.

The fish looks as big as the angler. He will remember this for a long time. 14# line, wow.

Those buffalo are AWEOME

That is an excellent fish. Bigmouth buffalo (Ictiobus cyprinellus) are not found many places in Texas, so that is a catch to remember.

That looks like hybrid to me
