12/19-12/23 report:
My last 4 trips on the bay have seen very nice weather, with clam winds, slightly low tides, and lots of clear water. Big flounder were on the prowl 12/19 with the Mike C. group of 4, getting 15 big flounder up to 24". After a rainy night off on the 20th, the 12/21 trip had poor results, with 6 flounder and 3 sheepshead after covering a ton of water with the Brandon G. group of 3. I shifted gears towards more productive waters on 12/22 getting our 15 flounder limit plus 9 drum and 1 sheepshead by 9pm with the Rick B. group of 3. 12/23 was steady but spotty action, and we ended with a 30 flounder limit by 10pm, and fish up to 20" with the Alonso G. group of 6.

The flounder numbers and size are looking really good headed into Spring, and the gigging should remain strong through the remainder of Winter, especially on fair weather nights.
