Can you run a 36v motor on 24 volts? I don't really want to add a 4th battery for several reasons but looking at upgrading TM.

Short and simple answer....no

The new Lowrance tm puts out over 90lbs of thrust at 24v and can run 36v at 120lbs when you upgrade your battery system

Get a 24 volt motor if you plan to stay with two trolling motor batteries

Get a Garmin Force. On 24volt it'll run with or better than most 36 volt units.
