Well I took a little different road from my house. I made a left and ended up at Lake Fork for this trip.
I met up with Pastor Thorton and his fishing buddy Aveo for the first time on Lake Fork.
These guys where excited and ready to get on some slabs. So it didn’t take us long to load up and head down the lake.
Aveo is pretty new to crappie fishing so he was ready to have his pole bent over with a slab. And it didn’t take long before his hopes came true 🎣.
And with a small breeze of wind. Perfect for crappie fishing. It didn’t take long before the cooler started to fill up.
As a guide I always try and target big white crappie. But today they where hard to come by for some reason. But the ones we caught where toads. Most of our fish where black crappie, but must of them where good size.
These guys rapped up there trip with 50 slabs for the ride home. Thanks for fishing with me guys.
Fish caught on timber in the river channel in deep water 30 to 45 foot deep. With most fish suspended at 25 to 30 foot deep.
Fish caught on BoneHead Tackle Stump Bugs in white lighting and night stick. With 10 foot Bonehead Rods.
Guys effective January 1 , 2020 we will be going up on our rates. I will post a separate post soon explaining it all.
If anyone is wanting to do some winter time crappie fishing. Give me a call.

Saturday I had Dewayne( not pictured ) and his buddy Reggie on Lake Palestine.
These two grew up together and have been buddies for years. And what do friends do together? Crappie fish together of course.🎣
Theses guys pick a awesome weather day to be on the water. It started out a little slow for us. But I made a move and we begin seeing more fish. But fish where very spooky one in the three fish would spooky off the tree.
The type of fishing I’m doing is nothing fast and furious. But we are catching bigger fish than you would on brush or bridge fishing. And that makes for some fun and exciting trips.
Thank you guys for fishing with me again. And good to see you guys again.
We fished timber in 20 to 25 foot of water. With the fish suspended at 16 to 22 foot deep. One here one there, then keep moving to find the next fish.
Fish caught on BoneHead Tackle Stump Bugs in white lighting and night stick. Also using the 10 foot Bonehead Rods they are great rods.
God bless!!
