Looked at the TP&W website and lake reports showing water No lower than 55, and averages around 58-62. It seems a bit odd for this time of year.

Thoughts.........

They're wrong. The fishing reports are apparently done out of state and they have no clue.

My gauge showed an average of 60 at Amistad last week.
Was right before that front hit. I know it got below freezing at least one night so I'm sure it has dropped the lake temp.

Spinners apprarently work everywhere. Not sure if that is a spinnerbait or what but its on almost every report every week.

It shows 64 degrees and bass good on topwaters at Ray Roberts. Yes, the reports have gone downhill.

Yesterday I saw 54-58 degrees on Sam Rayburn.

I think the TPW reports are pretty much copy and past from previous years.

Pretty sure it's a woman from out of state that has no idea what actually happens on our lakes. It's unfortunate, seems like someone more in touch with our lakes should be contributing there. I saw her post somewhere asking for current info from local guys on Facebook
