Be prepared to get a lot of different answers--personal preference. There will be some that throw Arigs on straight 50lb braid and 10XDs on 12 lb fluoro with everything in-between
A good hedge for both (especially with lighter and thinner wire Arigs) would be 40lb braid to a six foot leader of 15lb mono/copoly/fluoro of your choice. Personally, I like 15lb PlineCXX 15lb Pline CXX behaves more like 17lb line in other brands.

I've recently been throwing big cranks on straight braid. In most stained Texas water I don't feel like you are sacrificing bites. The ultra thin line offsets the fact braid floats. In fact I think the thinner diameter actually gets me more depth. I've been using 20 lb line, but might go to 30 lb just for improved castability. This is a recent experiment so time will tell. I caught a 10.5 two weekends ago on the setup... so far I'm liking it!

I have always used 65lb braid and 30lb flourocarbon leader. . Never lost a fish or a lure.

I use 15 lb McCoys meeean green. WORKS GRET, strong as it gets, do not have to worry about knots, little memory problems and limber. Fits all my categories. Hope this helps. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.
