When the silent majority votes with their registrations vs the vocal minority and their negative prognostications. Good to see the interest and response to the drop in entry fees and the additional options.

A lot of criticism of MLF for having the audacity to introduce a new type of tournament trail but keep in mind that if not for MLF stepping up to buy FLW,a lot of BFL weekend anglers and FLW pros would have no place to fish this next year and no all American or FLW cup at years end...

Greedy MLF increased the divisions, increased anglers fishing at the pro level, increased the payouts, and decreased the entry fees!! WTF!!

Kidding...thanks for the update. Good luck to all fishing FLW next year, should be exciting especially with more at stake with the potential to qualify for the BPT.

I know we got local James Biggs fishing, what other locals are fishing? Roll call if you know them...

I believe Mark is not talking about the FLW Pro Trail here. Its the former Costa series I think.

Percentage stats can be misleading. If I have 100 people one year and 50 more sign up the next my percentage increase looks great but the true numbers are less impressive.

It’s my belief that fisherman will pay anything to compete and go anywhere they have a chance to be a pro. It was proven how bad the FLW and Costa payouts were but they never hurt for anglers. Just like this new tour out of Missouri that’s coming on-board and already has a full field of “resumes”. Our Texas tours alone Bring out 300-400 boats each tournament. These guys might have looked at the stacked Opens field and decided this was the best option regardless of personal feelings around the leadership and format of the trail.

Point being, year 1 is not indicative of success. It does not prove any points for either side of the argument.. These things take a few seasons before you can tell what it will become.

I also don't take too much stock in an organization posting its own numbers.

"Costas" are a good deal this year. I think all this came out in October, maybe earlier. 9 divisions now counting the international, how could they not have an increase in registrations?

Lol, who else is going to give you that data other than the people taking the entries?

Mark you are just as biased for the PRO MLF side as the Haters are for the Anti MLF side. The reality is in the middle.
