Per The Boss, I wasn't allowed to ask that question when they Face Timed me with a picture of the sonogram. So in February I'm sure I will be working more to pay someone else's bills. My sister's property taxes and car insurance are split between me and my other brother. The only reason we do, is she takes care of our Mom full time.

Most probably still do....I know I'm at least eight weeks to homelessness if I don't get paid. Less than that if both our incomes went away.

I agree. He and his wife both made the decision after HS to not further their skills or education. Now 15 years later they complain how broke they are all the time.

They’re not alone, millions of Americans are in the same plight

It’s a terrible burden to live with that kind of financial pressure

Step 1 is an emergency fund. Whether you are making 500K, 250K, 100K, 50K, or 25K, someone just down the street is making less and has figured out how to put some money away. It's a super stressful way to live life if your transmission going out ruins you. Two jobs is always an option, my old man used to work 12 hour days, volunteer on the fire department, mow cemeteries on the weekends, and still make church on Sunday. I've got buddies who had roommates even after they got married. You don't have to do these things forever, but I'd certainly suggest doing them long enough to build up 3-6 months of expenses for an emergency fund.

What a POS to do that to his employees. Talking about killing the culture, that will do it in a hurry!

Been paycheck to paycheck before, no judgement here in the kid and his situation. Hell, I’d have probably blown it stupider [censored] than he did.

If it is a local community bank they may cut him some slack in fees if it is a national bank that is a no go. The problem of what the receivers of the checks charge is also a problem.

I know right ? Cuz we all know that kids always come at the perfect time when we’re all loaded and filthy rich ! They would never come at any other time such as when we first start out and are poor or any of that , cuz that never happens...

Poor folks aren't allowed to have kids. That's a rich folk privilege.
