Scientists believe that the oceans currently absorb 30-50% of the CO2 produced by the burning of fossil fuel. If they did not soak up any CO2, atmospheric CO2 levels would be much higher than the current level of 355 parts per million by volume (ppmv) - probably around 500-600 ppmv.

I understand that. But most of that is through diffusion from the atmosphere and photosynthesis from algae and plankton. So why isn’t it also in freshwater?

You will have to ask those scientists. It's not something I worry about. But I will throw this out. If saltwater absorbs C02, wouldn't rising ocean levels be a good thing?

That is basically how it is already, doesn't matter if it is the socialist left or the fascist right. No politician cares about the people. They care about the people who buy and sell them: Oil, Pharma, Military Industrial Complex, whoever gave them the most money.

"since to pour pee", I guess you are a genius.

Yeah, I can remember the 50's when the stench from Houston to Texas City was so horrible you could hardly stand it. When the rivers had so much raw sewage the fish shouldn't be eaten. The air around metropolitan areas was green with smog. And you think that would all have been improved were it not for the government and regs? Pretty naive.

God made the earth like it is and HE knows way more than these liberal idiots. They are just trying to get into the pocketbooks of idiots like themselves, and there are plenty out there. California is full of them.

AOC - "The future is, like, the most important issue ever. Humanity won't survive if we don't, like, end humanity as we know it asap. You know?!!!"
AOC - "Nature is, like, totally important, you know?!!! If we don't use the modern technology and tools we have to help nature, then nature won't be here in 10 years!"
AOC - "Like, fishing rods are the assault rifles of the waterworld. You know?!!!"
AOC - "A brighter tomorrow starts with a less whiter today...right?!!!"
AOC - "Minnows are, like, just aquatic slaves who are oppressed and sacrificed for the advancement of white privilege. And that's not okay, you know?!!!

In 1960 everyone was told the world was coming to an end and it didn't, (duh!) and then we lived with the Cuban Missile crisis which was reality on steroids, and the cold war gave us plenty to chew or fingernails over.
Today the youth are being threatened by those who are wanting to cash in on a new and at times manufactured crisis around every turn.
Our youth live with all kinds of threats being fed them almost daily by the liberals who see the need to keep things stirred up in order to advance their twisted agenda.
If people, especially our youth would just study and learn history, they would find out they don't have it that bad!
I'm all for saving the planet and protecting the environment, but we need to step back, take a deep breath, and leave the petty PC stuff alone, and let some common sense and thought into their decision making, without letting someone else make their decisions for them.

I believe that you guys are right, about SOME of the youth today....

But you also need to get out more. There are plenty of people in the "millennial" group that have common sense and will be good leaders some day. Let's face it, there were plenty of turds in y'alls time as well. Let's think about things that happened in America during the Vietnam era for example....

Anti-War protests, Soldiers being "welcomed" home amid protests and spit on, Hippies, etc.

Not bashing, just pointing out every generation has it's clueless group of people.

Your hippie generation has been running and destroying this country for the last 5 decades....so yeah thanks for that
