A Hispanic coworker once told me growing up his family was so poor, tamales were the only thing they had to unwrap on Christmas morning. Wow

A Hispanic coworker once told me growing up his family was so poor, tamales were the only thing they had to unwrap on Christmas morning. Extremely piss poor attempt to be racist. Oh come on. You’re Hispanic. My inlaws make the same dumb joke. If anything, they’re being racist against themselves. I crack dumb jokes about being the gringa daughter-in-law trying to cook guisada and tamales.

Heard the tamale unwrapping joke my whole life, from family, that are Mexicans. Extremely piss poor attempt at dragging race into every topic about Mexicans.
