I need a old, used cheap jig mold to modify to make a specific shape jig head for a friend. I need a regular round ball, no collar
jig mold in either 1/8th or 3/32nds. The jig my friend wants to try to copy is from the 50's and it looks like a mini-M&M with a 90deg.
jig hook. He says he found them in a old tackle store around Cedar Creek somewhere back in the 70's. Him and his 2 fishing buddies
said they probably bought 4 or 500 over the years before the old man died. They hit me up Saturday to see if I could either make a mold
or something. I need something cheap and if I can do this I will send whoever I get the mold from some of the jig heads.
I know this is a long shot but I hate to buy a new mold in case I ruin it.

Better hurry with Jerry Leblanc. He leaves for a month of sea duty tomorrow.

Magged out I want a round ball head. All I have to do is put some JB Weld in each side and press the jig in.
Then clean it up a little and I am in business. The mold you show has the hook coming out the front so it won't
hang horizontal

Set your hook for a horizontal presentation

Close the mold and hit with a rubber mallet

Dremel out the new eye location

Can still pour 2 different styles of jigs wink

Is that the fle-fly head? I think that is the original fle-fly head, not sure why they don’t make them anymore. Search that and Walmart shows to sell them with a wire keeper.

I don't think it is a fle-fly. The guys said an
old man that owned the bait store made them and he kept them in a cigar box behind the counter. They said every time one f them went by they would buy all he had. They said his daughter took over after he died and she made them until she sold the store. The new owners didn't know what happened to the mold or anything about the jigs. That was in the late 80's/early 90's. Of the 3 Giuseppe 1 is out and the other 2 have a dozen or so between them. They are hand ties but not very good hand ties however the guys swear by them.

The mold that Magged Out posted does look like the fle-fly but it doesn't look like the jig I am trying to make
