I went to the creek today.. My new 9 dollar long extendable pole got hung in a tree and broke.
I was stuck with a regular size pole. I tried popping a jig and bobber and that didn't work. I caught 2 sand bass with just a casting a jig. I caught one crappie jigging.
The bank is high above the water .I jumped down to the lower bank to get closer to the water. It was muddy and the sole of my shoe came off.
Getting back up to the higher bank was a chore.
There was a guy on the other side of the creek that had the magic spot. He was doing better than anyone else.

But I did meet a guy at the entrance and we walked to the creek together. he was a cool guy. so I made a new friend

It's not how you start it's how you finish.

A new friend is just as good a limit of Crappie and who knows what the future holds.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us.

There is always tomorrow. Them Crappie will be there.

Like I have been saying it takes time to learn. Once you creek enough, you will know what to do and what to look for. It all comes with time on the water and patience.
