Went out trying some deadsticking this morning. Was marking fish, but couldn't get any hits. What kind of fish does this screenshot look like?

What area of the lake did you mark that at?

That's a dead stick screen, jigs and flukes while drifting or moving with trolling motor. Definitely sandies in there!

My sonar was lit up Thursday with fish suspended in the 25 foot range. Not 1 hit on a 3 inch white fluke in the rod holder but they were slamming my slab spoon with a rapid vertical jigging action. They may have been more interested with some action.

I missed out on that one Matt! Tim

One 10-pounder is better than ten 1-pounders; but 100 1-pounders is ok too!

Definitely stripes and sandies. You might try down sizing bottom fluke to a 4 inch with a half ounce jig if that option has not been used.

I was using 3/4 oz slabs with 1/4 oz jig about 18" above it. Didn't even try any flukes. Need to get some 1/2 oz jug heads. I marked fish everywhere, but sure couldn't get a bite. Had the lake completely to myself. Fished till about noon.

Put the slabs up a few weeks ago, Deadstick has turned on.

If you're dead sticking, try several different colored flukes. Pink had been very hot but today it was chartreuse.
