I’ve seen lots of people catch yellow bass with sibiki rigs with pieces of minnow attach to each hook. While reeling in slowly on bottom

Don't target yellow bass but catch them all the time on slabs jigging the bottom.

The only time we have ever caught a ton of them was using shrimp. We brought some shrimp to drop over the side of boat hoping for catfish while we caught sandbass. We couldn't keep the yellow bass off of it. It was a lot of fun because they were giant yellows bass. They were all 10-12 inches. Ran out of shrimp.

All little cut baits on small hooks work good. Something that’s hearty with skin on it like buffalo or worm will let u catch multiple fish without having to change bait.

They love little pieces of fresh cut shad but they also get those off the hook quite fast so be prepared to go through a lot of bait.

Small hooks, small baits. (Like the size of ur pinky nail)
