I have just lost my best friend that always takes his boat and truck to Mexico and follows me with my rig. It was a sudden passing and Mike will be missed so much; I really don't know how to replace him. Please let me know if you know of someone that can make the trips. We make two or three trips each Spring in Jan., Feb., and March. When we have Customers your expenses will be payed for. When there are no customers you may take a friend and split the expenses. You will have the same responsibilities as I have to find customers if you want to go for FREE. We are always looking for young guys that will be wanting to follow us in years to come. Are there any safety concerns with driving down into Mexico this way?

I have not experienced any in 35 years of going. The lake is only 25 miles off Interstate 15 and the road is paved to the lake. There are toll booths all along the interstate and military check points. It is just not a favorable area for the Cartel to cause trouble.

Some day some day, upgrade that phone . Most of the time when a call wont go out a text will. Saved me a lot of times. Good luck with the fishing.

what is name of this lake and where is it located.....my atlas shows I-15 is located in California....

Lake Oviachic is just north of Obregon, Mexico. I've been 3 of the last 4 years and and it gets better each year. Never felt threatened. Fish till your arms fall off for 7 days, 60 to 100 bass a day, average size is 4 lbs, my biggest there so far is 8.98

Thanks for the pictures and write-up, David. We have had some great trips and looking forward to Feb. for the next one. Hope we can get another Rig to follow and make the trip with us.

When are the trip dates? What are the expenses? All inclusive and non- inclusive prices?

Dates of the two trips with the dates the same:
- Leave Fort Worth Feb. 5th., arrive at Oviachic on the 7th. Will be back home on 15th.
- Leave Fort Worth March 5th., At Oviachic on the 7th. Will be back home on 15th.

Will give you a call later Dave. Expenses very due to two or three fisherman per boat; those interested can Email me for more information. I will say it is the most inexpensive 6 days of fish that you will ever make. It cost very little at the lake for a cabin that sleeps 6 and your evening meals. Major expenses are traveling gas, meals and motels on the U.S. side of the boarder going and coming back. Sometimes I like to add an extra day going; just depends on how many of us older guys that are traveling. It is hard on us.

Both the Feb. and March trips are during the Full Moon and the fishing will be excellent. Please give me a shout if you and a partner are interested in following us to Oviachic.
