Wow, I had no idea this was a thing. We get nothing. I've been there 12 years. They used to have a management party at the Gaylord. Nobody got gifts but it was open bar. Mostly just an event for the high-rollers to rub elbows with lower level management.
For us peasants, we just should be glad we still have a job I suppose. Can't imagine a $300-$500 gift or a 4-figure or 5-figure bonus. That's nuts.
I also don't give 110% to the company either. I do my job and make sure my business is handled, but I spend as much time at home with family as possible, and my manager and director both encourage and respect that. I'd love a $20k bonus, but I wouldn't trade it for working 50-60 hour weeks all the time.

I just started with a new company so, I have no idea. I have worked around construction most of my life. Most don't give you anything.

In my 34 years of working with the exception of 2 bad years I've always received a Christmas Bonus - from as little as one weeks salary up to $30,000 depending upon how the fiscal year goes. This year we moved to an Employee Stock Ownership Plan so I doubt we will get anything as it all goes to retirement based on your longevity in the company. On paper I'm rich, I can't wait till retirement.

Christmas is a trigger word. This time of year the safe spaces are booked solid.

Usually Top Golf, catered food and a couple drink coupons. Couple raffle tickets. One year I won a mid grade coffee maker. Then they came back and said I needed to claim it on my taxes. 🙄
