No sign of Speckled Trout, but they are there. Lots of patience, lots of casting, lots of moving, but worth the wait if you find them. The cool weather can make the Specks bite softly, and on and off like a light switch. Caught these on Opening Night/Bass Assassins and Pink Corky Devil, worked very slow, close to the bottom. Missed several, but these did not get away. No really big ones yet, but these are 17โ€-18โ€, with only one undersized Speck. Fishing in between the fronts can really pay off this time of year. Donโ€™t let the cold weather keep you from fishing! LuckyLindyCharters.com

Saturday 12/7 on Sabine at very North East end in section that splits the 2 exits of Sabine River. Specs were running all morning. We caught over 20+ fish only keep 3 over 16 inches and 1 flounder 15 inches that I some how hooked through both eyes. Was great day fishing. The morning was overcast and 8 to 12 mph winds. Sun came out around 10:00am and wind died down. We just anchored up and fished one spot casting mostly to South and South West as wind was out of North East. Popping cork with DOA and Voodoo Shirmp was what me mostly used. But I also had luck on Troutsupport plastic with 1/2 oz jig head and 4 in craw on same 1/2 oz jig head. Amlost every fish hit on drop as opposed to realing or picking line up. Next trip is for after Christmas. Current due to rivers was going out to South West. I saw about 8 other boats and group that was in boat but wad fishing in about 3 feet water closer to the Lower Sabine exit.
