What kind and size would be a good throw net?

I throw a 7’ fitec ultra spreader 11970 deep hole taped net. I get em for $120 delivered on amazon. This is a good net for getting bigger baits in deeper water. I use it shallow as well but it lets most small bait pass through. If you like to catch threadfin then this net won’t catch those unless they are fairly big. texas

The fitec ultra spreader gs 1500 series in 3/8 to half inch is a good net and will catch pretty deep.

Keep at it. Took me a while to get it down and still make bad throws sometimes... but it gets better the more you do it.

I can throw any net flat on shore. On the boat is another story. The nets from Walmart where I’m at don’t sink fast enough. Looking for quality now

A good panel net always throws better than a cheaper net.

I’m also a fan of the gs1500 for deeper water, right now I’m using an old salt pro series which is a heavy net but compared to the Fitec gs1500 I would choose the Fitec. In shallower water I generally throw cheaper nets because if I tear one or lose it completely it is generally in shallower water. I throw 7’ net all the time and will use 3/8, 1/2 and even 5/8 in shallower water and in deep water I throw 5/8.

I use a 7' Betts Mullet net. It's heavy, throws great, but not the cheapest. I taped it my self this year and it made a huge difference in deep water.

I would buy a net that's already taped next time I need one. If you plan on throwing deep it will really increase your catch.
