How did the water look? There have been several reports lately of a water turnover and a possible fish kill that has kept me away.

Fished Lew for the first time in a couple months. Water temps 53-56 degrees. Was more of a BASS day than an MLF day - low on numbers but good on quality. I lost every single one of my fish but my buddy got all but one of his in the boat. Cranked the rocks and they showed up. Was a beautiful day to boot!

If you can't find em wind em.

Fished Whitney last weekend. Water temps 57-59. Lake is low, but looks great. Fishing was surprisingly slow. I think we caught 12 fish all day. Not sure why it was so tough.

Water looked fine. Compare to most years, there seems to be fewer bait balls and considering the miles of shoreline that had dead shad piled up a couple of months ago, that might be the reason. Fishing is on and off depending on the day it seems. Slower than most years I’d say.

That's awesome, bro. She's got a keeper and so do you!

Good report, buda. All we've done is Squaw, where all the little ones just jump in the boat..... fish

Fished Texoma yesterday, temps were 55 to 58. We flat got our butts kicked... went with the intention of chasing smallies, ran all the best small jaw water we had and only caught a few, no size. After several hours of that we started just fishing instead of trying to target the smallies. Found the Shad to be LOADED up in the creeks 3/4 of the way back to the very back. I’m talking black out the graph loaded. Tried a few creeks with minimal success and again no size. I really think that cold front shut em down, at least it did for us, Texoma is typically pretty awesome from Halloween to tax day.
