Unfortunately I kind of think that those of us on here are the vocal minority. How many of the MLF and BPT viewers on the Outdoor and Discovery channels really followed tournament fishing before. I followed BASS when I was younger but gradually stopped following, until MLF came around. It caused me to get back into following the tournament scene. But I had a history and a knowledge of tournament angling before, so I really got back into following BASS since that's what I knew. Now how many viewers only knew MFL, having no knowledge about all the success these guys had on previous tours, especially the guys from FLW. I feel that there model is less about converting those of us who followed the trails and more about gaining new anglers. This new "heavy sack" tourney or whatever they end up calling it from what I can tell is still going to be an every fish counts tourney. It just uses the old 5 fish format to decide who gets in, and even then its still not a true 5 fish format. It seems more to me that it's more of an attempt to shutup the minority that will never get behind the new leauge. As long as they're drawing eyes in their direction I think they'll find the sponsors, maybe it'll we be less of the industry sponsors, but they'll find them. As long as the guys competing are happy with where they're at and have the ability to fish where they want, we should all be happy.

One has to wonder if a few calls to sponsors from concerned consumers prompted this quick turnaround and reversal? It wasn’t but a few days ago this kid was being told to go pound sand. Funny how the power of the consumer complaints to sponsors works.

Is it just me or is it just wrong that they have to be pressured to do the right thing ? Man what a bunch of brain dead rich business man. Take care of all the costa angler's that payed there dues also! Said my peace.
