Very nice indeed. Them longear look like the giant ones I was catching before the fronts started rolling through. I've noticed in the cooler water of the fall and winter down here the fish start losing some color, kinda washed out. Really like them jigs with the rubber hackle in the chenille, I bet they are dynamite on all kinds of fish. Also like the last photo that rock formation is really cool.

My idea of heaven would be to be able to call God's country my back yard; so jealous. Amazing the color change in those longears between spring/summer and fall/winter. Thanks for the pics.

God's Country! Nice fish. Thanks Chuck! This is the hole of water way on the backside of the ranch you fished with us a couple years ago. Yesterday was the first time we fished there since then Side note: that big school of rios are still there and they are bigger

Bones72 with all the vegetation in the water dying it seems to me the longears turn the same drab color. Camouflage maybe???

Thanks for the Pics and report Gar1970, you're not only blessed to be able to live in such beautiful country, you're truly blessed to have such a beautiful lady to fish with. Sure missed my bride fishing and hunting with me some 50 odd years ago, but alas, along came the babies, who were replaced by grandbabies, and there went my favorite fishing buddy.

Pot licker and I fished the backyard this afternoon. We used some new jigs we tied and they worked great! We caught a few gills Wow, that is a nice Canyon Longear.
Don't worry about the mule, just load the cart
